1 | Extend crossbars to correct width, making sure the crossbar nipple is securely emerging from its appropriate hole. |
2 | Screw spigots into base plates. The centre hole in the baseplate is the safest. Ensure that the counter sunk holes face the floor so the bolt does not protrude. |
|||
3 | Slide uprights over spigots. When setting up a line of rigging it is easiest to lay out the crossbars on the floor so the row of bases can be located accurately. |
4 | Insert crossbar hooks into upright slots. |
|||
5 | Once crossbars have been inserted, you are now ready to loosely hang your drapes. |
6 | Carefully throw the drape over the crossbar to avoid lifting the drape. |
|||
7 | Beginning from the end, loosely hang the drapes by a few of the Velcro tabs. |
8 | Tie the Velcro ties, leaving approximately 150mm of drape width to hide your first upright. Keep the Velcro as tight as possible. |
|||
9 | Once at the end of the crossbar either continue onto the next crossbar or finish off by tying the drape around the upright. |
10 | You are now ready to extend the uprights to the desired height. Extend one upright at a time in small increments, until you have reached the desired height. | |||
11 | To release the lock, raise the inner pole slightly and lift the release ring. For safety hold the inner pole firmly while raising or lowering the height. |
12 | The Staging Company recommends that rigging set above 5m have at least 1 x 10kg shotbag on the base. |
